The inspiration is unprecedented. I laughed since the very beginning and smiled in tears till the end. Hearing the songs sang by voice of life strikes me to appreciate the art beyond rhythm and lyrics.
Nothing is planned in advance but nothing is more dramatic than life itself. I felt so sad when watching the part of the documentary that two members died.
What they and their families demonstrated is the "try hard or die trying" attitude. What impressed me more is the reaction of the other chorus members, they were in sorrow but they keep moving on.
This is the wisdom they learn from their enriched life experience, not to let grief and hardship derail you off track and to finish what they start together.
Their passion and love for music, for live make them shine with the glow of youth. Nothing even death could shadow on that. We just need to keep looking for things we like to do, and do it.

I expected to hate this movie. Old people singing to rock music, how lame? It was awesome to see how passionate these people are about singing and just life in general.
Even when they didn't sing well it was cool to see all the effort they put into their shows. I appreciate the tenacity and skill of the musicians and the message they bring to all of us that life is ours for the making.
The friendship and compassion in the group is balanced with the ongoing reality that life does not go on forever. The prison concert is absolutely beautiful.
